What the law requires
The Condominium Property Act sets the powers and duties of the board of managers. The Common Interest Community Association Act addresses the board of managers or directors, its duties, and the conduct of elections and voting for communities under that act.
What it means for boards & managers
The two acts are not interchangeable. Confirm from the declaration which one the community is organised under before applying either section to an election dispute.
