NRS 116.31031
What the law requires
The executive board may impose fines and other sanctions for violations of the governing documents only within statutory limits and after the procedural requirements are met, including notice and an opportunity to be heard. Continuing violations, collection of past due fines and the owner's right to a statement of the balance owed are addressed in the same section.
What it means for boards & managers
Nevada caps fine amounts and prescribes the hearing procedure. A fine imposed outside that procedure is not merely contested, it is uncollectible.
