What the law requires
Nevada licenses community association managers through the Real Estate Division and the Commission for Common-Interest Communities and Condominium Hotels, with a certificate requirement, continuing education, and a disciplinary process. The Division also runs the Office of the Ombudsman, with which associations register.
What it means for boards & managers
Confirm the individual manager's certificate, not only the management company's registration, and confirm it is current. Nevada is one of the states where an unlicensed manager is a live exposure for the board that hired them.
