What the law requires
A unit owner selling a unit must furnish the buyer a resale package containing the declaration, bylaws, rules, the current operating and reserve budgets, the reserve study summary, and a statement of amounts owed, together with an information statement in the exact form the statute prescribes.
What it means for boards & managers
The information statement has a required form. Using a paraphrase of it, or an outdated version, is a defect in the package the buyer may act on.
